I've finally figured out the best way to review music: have the lyrics read by an uptight white guy. We'll start out with a simple example.
Here's Black Flag's "Nervous Breakdown" as performed by an uptight white guy:
Now by Black Flag:
Any suggestions for the next review? |

Hey there folks, I broke my PDA this morning. After 5 years of service, I suppose it's time to let it go gently into that good night. However, my back-up strategy for the machine stopped working when its SD slot gave out a while ago. The upshot of all this is:
I've lost everyone's contact information.
Please let me know how to get in touch with you again. I've turned comment screening on if you want to use LJ. You can also email me if you'd like.
Thanks for your help. |

Thanks to hatefulping, I discovered the new McThoughtCrime:
McDonalds is lobbying the OED to change the definition of McJob. http://www.time.com/time/business/article/0,8599,1628391,00.html
I've always figured the OED as a relatively trustworthy source, as close to a bible as someone with rational thought is likely to find (ignoring math texts). If they get their way, I'll be very sad.
From the article:
Adds Douglas Wright, a local McDonald's franchisee, "We're trying to reenergize the definition [and] we're backed by the chamber of commerce. The support has been phenomenal." |

I'm trying to understand why women date married men. In specific, men to whom they are not married.
If you have any insight into this, please let me know. |

It is sobering to reflect that one of the best ways to get yourself a reputation as a dangerous citizen these days is to go about repeating the very phrases which our founding fathers used in the struggle for independence. – Charles A. Beard |

Bible (also Torah), KJV: Exodus 20:13 “You shall not murder."
n The verb רָצַח (ratsakh) refers to the premeditated or accidental taking of the life of another human being; it includes any unauthorized killing (it is used for the punishment of a murderer, but that would not be included in the prohibition). This commandment teaches the sanctity of all human life. See J. H. Yoder, “Exodus 20,13: ‘Thou Shalt Not Kill’,” Int 34 (1980): 394-99; and A. Phillips, “Another Look at Murder,” JJS 28 (1977): 105-26.
